No pay leave

On no pay leave this week for exams. Sigh! Looks like the month-end paycheck won't be very motivational.

Am enjoying work so very much it was almost a pain to go on leave.

Ok, that was a bluff. Enjoying my work, the funny (and sometimes lewd) jokes and the things I learn, but going on leave is GOING ON LEAVE. What pain?!

Pain lies with the home confinement that comes with exams. And the menstral cramps I'm suffering from now. I hate periods! I am achy and sleepless the few days before periods are due, and then the cramps and fatigue hit. Maybe I should start exercising. After the exams lah.

Starhub cable TV came to the house yesterday evening. Woah great! Finally we are civilised, and bestest of all, sis gets to watch all her EPLs and Champions League.

I just realised today that the heat of the Singapore Idols has somewhat eluded me. Oh, I know there were the 2 contestants Taufik and Sly in the finals, I even voted for Olinda and changed buses on my way home just to catch the show on TV Mobile on a Thursday a few weeks ago. (That is a big wow ok, I HATE TV Mobile entirely hitherto)

But I didn't know EVERYONE IS TALKING ABOUT IT until I read some reports this morning. No one I know (except for Jianyin) was very interested, and really, I was in a rush to get home from work before 8pm yesterday because I wanted to catch the new Channel U drama. (I only got home at 9 something, missed it!) Being almost anti-Mediacorp, I don't watch Channels 5 and 8, nor listen to their radio stations. These media, apparently, have been playing up the hype about Singapore Idols and got "the entire Singapore" (well, you know, except my family, and social circles) very excited.

I wasn't entirely uninterested, because I try to be "in" and bimbo fanatic sometimes too - Ken Lim is sooooooo charming!, but I was really turned off by the 1,000,001 "Be right back"s, and the way THEY THINK everyone is interested.

I must say I am really glad cable came along, and in the nick of time, before Mediacorp takes over Channel U. So that instead of locking up the TV, I can get entertained.

Of course I'm plain bias, but my relaxation time is so short you know, I don't want to waste it on programs like Liu Xing Xiao Yuan... eewwwww!

P.S Oh, the news and current affairs programs on Channel 8 is different, we all love those don't we? ;)
