Radom thoughts
As I am typing this now, my Thunderbird mail application is downloading my 429 Gmail emails. Isn't it great that Gmail is now pop-enabled?!
Have been subscribing to RSS feeds for a while. Quite fun, I needn't check for blog updates and risk getting caught surfing at work. They are quite a distraction at work though, am contemplating deleting the subscriptions from my office computer.
Hair is so long, I need a haircut tomorrow. I am thinking of keeping long hair again, but I don't have the energy to manage my hair, and it'll get wuzzy, dry and ugly. Sigh! And rebonding is so passe only girls from backward chinese towns (e.g. like Shantou) fashion their hair that way. Besides, short is better for the hair. Ok, shall cut cut cut it all away.
Discovered one of my friends got a blog, but I shan't share with you here until I got his permission. Waiting for the right time to ask.
I was thinking about this friend mentioning on his blog he was reading his ex-girlfriend's blog and did not tell her. And I thought, although it really seems like it doesn't matter because anything posted on the web is free for all, if someone I know in real life were reading this page, I'll want to know. Because, sometimes I write some things without being sensitive, and if I were consciously aware that someone might be hurt or offended, I'll practice self sensorship. No matter how I'd like to think otherwise, a blog is ultimately not a diary where I can write any damn thing I want and it will go with me to my grave.
And looking from a head-strong girl's perspective: Imagine if she has a tiff with her current bf and goes complaining on her blog about how lousy he is. Don't think she'll want ex-bf to read that and think she is not doing as well as she will want to appear to be - at least in front of her exs. I don't know. It does matter somewhat, doesn't it?
Well, on the side, was enjoying today's discussion on politics with my Singaporean friends in Shanghai, though only 4 of us were commenting and the rest in the email loop kept silent. I keep quiet for most of the discussion emails too, unless I have time to think and type in office. If my emails are downloaded and I have time, I'll print screen to show you some of the stuff.
Am terribly jealous Jianyin's off for a chalet and I am stuck with ACCA. And Olinda's out of the Idol finals, I spent 50 cents voting for her this afternoon okay! She has been my favourite since the prelims, big girl with big voice. Maybe I jinxed her chance by voting for her. Should have jinxed Sly's chance instead. Taufik's "Ain't no sunshine" yesterday totally mesmerized, think I'm falling for him.
Oh no, I am not a fan of Singapore Idol. I just like to be really bimbotic and join in some craze of the moment for fun. So if one day I tell you I'm a fan of 5566 or baby pink colour, I'm just feeling heow and acting bimbo. Gladly patronise me, please.
