Busy Bee
Busy busy busy...
Meeting up with ex-housemates Wenbin and Eileen tomorrow. Yes, they are back for the Oct Golden week. Lots of catching up to do, though we chat on msn all the time.
Going out with netball team mates on Friday. We were once real close, training together every Monday-Wednesday-Friday throughout my secondary school days. That was a decade ago! I played keeper, Meiping was shooter, Jane was wing A, and Yeelin played wing D. Netball is the one and only sport I can gleefully say I'm quite good at. That is, of course, because of all the trainings I went through since I was 10; nothing to do with talent. Ching Ling and Claud once commented that netball is a bimbo game for girls to parade legs in short skirts. I had such a hard time convincing them that netball requires a lot of skill, teamwork and speed, since you don't win by bashing the other person up or twisting her arm. (Which is why guys never play netball. They enjoy fights too much, I guess) Only if you play, can you understand how un-bimbotic it is. 'cept for Yeelin, we stopped playing the game after we left secondary school. 'twas a great team at Cedar Girls', with us, and JJ, Tiffany and Serene on the main 7 lineup. I'll never forget how Yeelin the WD was always there on the rim of the semi-circle, ready to get my keeper throw-ins. I still have my North Zone champs and National 4th trophies. Am eager to see how everyone is doing now. We didn't keep in touch all these years, that was a pity.
Going to climb up (opps, I mean walk up) Bukit Timah hill on Saturday morning. Have got supper with some hall mates on Saturday night. Management (aka Xiaohui) suaned and insulted executives (Dan and me) for doing an extremely lousy job organizing the last get-together last week. So this week, we are supposed to prove our worth to her. 'cept that we can't care less about proving our worth. Yar, she really thinks she is management you know, being OMC vice-chair and all. Haha. I don't know who will organize in the end, just don't arrow me, for I don't want Weijing to suan me for flying his aeroplane again. If your aeroplane gets flown this time, it's none of my business. -Weijing, you reading this?!
Getting my glasses and celebrating Pammie's (and mine) birthday on Sunday. It's my birthday on Sunday too, if you go by the lunar dates. :) I can't believe how many pairs of glasses I have had, and lost. I've owned 6 pairs of glasses since I realised, at 19, that I was finally short-sighted. (Guess the atrocious things I did when I was young, just to spoil my eyesight and wear glasses. I thought wearing them were so pretty!) Lost a total of 4 pairs, sat on (and badly bent!) one, and out-grown the design of the last pair. Am still thinking of whether to get an expensive pair (which I may very possibly misplace), or an inexpensive pair (which may not satisfy my vanity) Hmm...
German class finally starting on Monday. Excited, only worry is I'm going to miss my 3rd class because of a business trip.
Mt Kinabalu briefing coming Tuesday. Flying off on 20th for the great climb. Coming back on 23rd, definitely all sore and tired, and hopefully, happy to have made new friends.
Flying off on 24th for a business trip in Shantou, Guangzhou. (Ok, stop shaking your head at my schedule and say I'm the prime minister) I've finally found out, I'm assigned to do legal stuff. Colleague asked me whether I've done that before. I told her we have a big legal team (led by my legal manager who was training to be a court judge) in my previous company who was in-charge of the all our legal work. This new job is stressful. But I like it too much to give it up, without thickening my skin and have a go first. I haven't anything to lose anyway.
I can't wait for the first stamp on my new red passport.
*Cough cough* Wish my throat will stop itching now. Cough is so bad think I'll wear a mask at work tomorrow. I'll blog as and when I've free time, for my 10 regular readers Sis, Wati, Tim, Pammie, Chris, and whoever I can't figure from my Statcounter. (Installed Statcounter 2 weeks back and realised some people actually do click on the blog everyday) Am baffled why you 10 are not tired of all my "I"s (I'll, I've, I, I'd). And oh yes, this blog is much of a narcissistic "I" blog. Haha... suits me fine and nice.
Thanks for reading, all you dearies.
