Confession of a Vainpot

I have a confession to make. I spent more than $200 on skincare and cosmetics products yesterday. Ain't I a despicable old witch?! So truly broke now. Bought on credit - sister's credit. And I have the remaining payment of my Mt Kinabalu trip, yet to be settled.


I haven't started work, but I'm looking to pay day already. Hope I don't get the sack meanwhile. Ha! Yesterday one lady from work emailed me to ask about passport details, apparently they are planning a business trip to China from 17th to 30th Oct. Eh, my Mt Kinabalu trip right smack in the middle, from 20th to 23rd. So utterly paiseh.


Back to my confession. Clarins was having a 20% sale. Got the Renewal-Plus Night Lotion for $80, instead of the usual $100.





And I bought cosmetics too.











The Clinique purhcases came with free gifts -sample sizes facial scrub, renewal cream, lip balm, and a lipstick.


Also bought, among other things: sun tanning oil, bikini, shampoo, makeup brushes...


I am a poor, happy little vain pot. I say, I have good reasons to spend on skincare and cosmetics, because I'm not blessed with nice smooth flawless complexion. And a girl's got to face the world, literally. If I can't fix that face, at least hide it.


Am I a bimbo or what?!


Shopping, and using expensive things on the face, is extremely therapeutic, I tell you. It's the bills that are dreadful. Aww.
